CHERTHALA: A teacher who went missing since Sunday from Cherthala is suspected to have run away with her tenth standard boy student.

Mujamma SI I M Ajay Mohan-led team has started a detailed search. The police have got the information that both went to Cherthala Railway station at 1:30 pm on Sunday.

Their mobile phones are switched-off. The teacher, a divorcee, has a ten-year-old child.

Meanwhile, there are reports that the teacher and student are somewhere in Thiruvananthapuram. By Monday evening, mobile phone location was tracked to Varklala area.

There is also information that recently the teacher bought a mobile phone for him and both used to communicate over the phone for hours.
