KOTTAYAM: Shajo Alukka, a studio owner in Aluva has given statement that P C George had demanded a photograph in which Franco and the nun can be seen together. He was interrogated by the SP on the basis of a complaint filed by the nun’s sister. Shajo said that though George asked for the CD of nun’s nephew’s first qurbana ceremony, he did not give it to him. Kaladi police had registered a case on Thurday. Statement was recorded by circle inspector Saji Markose.
“Ernakulam IG office had informed me to hand over the photograph and CD of first qurbana ceremony. I handed over the CD through a staff at my studio. P C George had called me prior to this and asked me to go to Kottayam. When I reached Kottayam, he asked me to participate in the press meet. However, I did not agree to this”, says Shajo in his statement given to the SP.
However, the complaint lodged by the nun’s sister to Saji Markose states that P C George got the photograph and CD from the studio. The nun’s sister alleges that these photographs were handed over as part of an attempt to sabotage the case. The first qurbana ceremony of the nun’s nephew took place on 2014 May 6. Bishop sexually abused the nun on the previous day. The police had obtained these photographs from the studio owner as part of the investigation of the case. The studio owner will be a witness in the case.
