KOTTAYAM: A few nuns have come out with the allegation that Kodanadu Parish Vicar had compelled them to give statements in favour of Bishop Franco Mullakkal, the sole accused in the nun rape case.

Nuns including sister Anupa have made this allegation against Nicholas Maniparambil. “However we’ll not withdraw our complaint against Mulakkal. We’ll completely cooperate with the investigation,” she told media persons.

Sister Anupama said Fr Nicholas’ intention was to instil guilt in us and sabotage the case. “He told us that we held strike with persons from other religions and the protest was against the church. But I told him that we were not supported by irreligious persons but by a bunch of good Samaritans,” she said.

Meanwhile, Fr Nicholas Maniparambil said that he had considered the nuns as the members of the parish and had no other motives. “There is no change in my stand,” he said.
Fr Nicholas is a person who first stood with the nuns and later favoured the bishop.
