KOCHI: Fr Nicholas, vicar of Kodan church in Ernakulam had reached Kuruvilangad convent to influence the supporters of nun who lodged a complaint against bishop Franco Mulackal, with a murder accused. Nicholas had reached the convent with Saji Mookkannur, accused in the murder of farmers association leader Thomas in 2011.

The vehicle in which Fr Nicholas arrived at the convent was driven by Saji. Photographs of both Saji and Nicholas at the convent have been revealed. Saji is now facing the trial in the case.

Fr Nicholas reached the convent at Kuruvilangad on Saturday. He tried to influence thje nuns who staged protest in support of the victim. However, he returned after 30 minutes as the nuns did not accept his demands. Fr Nicholas did not meet the victim. He said that the church should be reformed since the nuns stood firm in their stand. Nicholas had earlier given support to the victim, and later changed his stand saying that the nun misled him by giving false information.
