THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Continuing the upward trend inprices, the prices of petrol and diesel rose by 25ps/litre and 32ps/litre respectively on Monday.
In Thiruvananthapuram, the petrol price hit at Rs 87.19 and diesel at Rs 80.43. Oil companies explained that the rise in international oil price and change in the value of rupees are the reason for the hike in the transportation cost are said to be the reason for fuel price hike.
Meanwhile, the price of cooking gas also increased. The price of cooking gas cylinder without subsidy was hiked by Rs 59 and subsidised cylinder price was hiked by Rs 2.89.
The latest price of the LPG cylinder is Rs 502.4.
