THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Noted filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan, who had a major role in reforming Malayalam cinema has announced his new directorial venture. He will direct a 20 minutes long short film titled ‘Sughaanthyam’ which will be produced by ‘Masters Shots’, a Kolkata-based film company.

The film will have a digital release and viewers can watch the movie online. The movie will feature eminent actors such as Mukesh, Padmapriya, Indrans, Alencier and Sudheer Karamana. Casting has been finalized.

Shooting will begin on October 11. The movie will be completed within five days of shoot. Cinematography will be handled by M J Radhakrishnan. This will be Adoor’s first directorial venture in the digital format. “It is a challenge to complete the movie within 20 minutes. It might get extended one or two minutes more. After completing this, I will think about doing a new feature film”, Adoor Gopalakrishnan told Kerala Kaumudi.
