THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Leader of opposition Ramesh Chennithala alleged that minister T P Ramakrishnan is forcing someone like excise Commissioner Rishiraj Singh, who has a great track record to tell lies about the government decision that approved permission for three breweries and one distillery in the state. Rishiraj Singh is supporting corruption by distorting facts. “Rishiraj Singh had sent a letter to the government requesting them to reform the order that was issued in 1999. Did the government give permission to Sreechakra distillery after reforming this order?”, asked Chennithala.
“Excise commissioner himself has said that no evaluation has been made while granting permission to Sreechakra distillery. He had also said that since the application was rejected continuously since 1998, there is no need of evaluation, which is a strange argument. Why did the government give permission to distillery and breweries in secrecy?”, asked Chennithala.
