KOCHI:  Forward Commission Chairman R Balakrishna Pillai has said women’s entry in Sabarimala is likely foment trouble in Sabarimala. “I don’t think true believers among women will go to Sabarimala. However, the government can only accept the order of the Supreme Court, now,” he said.

Pillai said the government was seeing the Sabarimala verdict as the stepping stone to implement Uniform Civil in Kerala.“The Supreme court order will apply to other temples, as well. It is the thantri who has to decide on the changes to be brought in Sabarimala temple. Let those who want to go, go…others need not. The court will have to think whether it should interfere in religious matters. The Sabarimala verdict will also influence other communities,” he said.
