ALAPPUZHA: It has been reported that money from disaster management fund was sanctioned to pay off the loan amount of deceased Chengannur MLA K K Ramachandran Nair. The deputy collector had given a letter to revenue principal secretary to sanction Rs 8, 66,697 immediately, so that the loan amount taken by K K Ramachandran Nair from several banks can be paid off.

The deputy collector had reported that K K Ramachandran Nair had a liability of Rs 2 lakh. However, the amount was sanctioned from the disaster relief fund before the CM’s fund for flood relief was created. K K Ramachandran Nair passed away on January 14, 2018.
