THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala has said he will extend his full support to heal the wound caused on Ayyappa devotees by the Supreme Court order that allows entry for all women in Sabarimala.

He made this statement after holding a discussion with former Travancore/Kochi Malabar Devaswom board presidents and members.

“If RSS and BJP are sincere about Ayyappa devotees, they should demand the Centre to amend the law to bypass the Supreme Court order. Both of them should not take a stand that baffles devotees. The meeting gave former Devaswom board president Prayar Gopalakrishnan the responsibility to coordinate future course of action,” he said.

Chennithala said that a review petition should have been filed against the order. “But this is only possible for those who joined as a party in the case early. Prayar was a party when he was the Devaswom Board president. Hence he cannot give the petition now,” he said.
