THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Leader of Opposition Ramesh Chennithala has alleged that benami companies are behind the desitillery-brewery deal. The government approval given to Sreechakra distilleries and Power Infratech clearly prove that there is corruption in this deal.

The chief minister and the excise minister have directly involved in this case and they have committed corruption by sabotaging all the laws and policies that had been followed by the government after 1999. The government has given approval to people who don’t have the financial stability even to set up a small shop. They should clarify the details of this deal. This brewery-distillery scam is the largest corruption the state has ever seen.
