KOCHI: The meeting of RSS district administrators has commenced in Kochi on Monday for discussing the protests to be held on the Sabarimala issue. Hindu Aikya Vedi state president K P Sasikala teacher, Hindu Aikya Vedi  state general secretaries – R V Babu and E S Biju, Vishwa Hindu Parishad state president S J R Kumar, Ayyappa Seva Samajam sate organizing convenor Kasi Vishwanathan and Kerala temple protection committee president Unnikrishnan master are participating in the meeting.

RSS national leadership has taken a new stand that the court should consider the emotions of devotees while taking a decision on Sabarimala women’s entry. A decision was taken to oppose the verdict legally. RSS changed its stand when several Sangh Parivaar organizations in the state and Ayyappa Samaajam came forward with public protests. Earlier, RSS had taken a public stand that women of all ages should be allowed to enter Sabarimala.

Meantime, activists have come forward against RSS leadership in the Sabarimala issue. A resentment has originated among the RSS activists since RSS welcomed the verdict initially, and published an article in support of the women’s entry.

RSS has been facing backlash from supporters over this issue. After publishing an editorial in the party mouthpiece, it is not right to say that the article is strictly personal opinion, said a noted leader from Kollam.
