THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Meteorological Department had warned that there are chances for the cyclone formed in the Arabian sea turning into an intense cyclonic storm.
The cyclone formed in the Middle-West and South-West parts of Arabian Sea is moving at a speed of 18km/hour towards North-West. Within the next 24 hours this will turn into an intense cyclonic storm, according to the Met department.
The cyclone may travel in the North West direction and reach Southern part of Oman-Yemen coasts in five days. In the next 24 hours, wind at a speed of 40-60 km will blow at South East and Middle East part of the Arabian sea.
The fishermen in Kerala have been asked to keep off the sea from Monday till October 12.
