KOZHIKODE: Minister K T Jaleel has said women should be allowed entry in all worshing places including Sunni mosques; then only we can say that there is freedom to worship. He was speaking at a function organised in Kozhikode.
Jaleel said that the government had not shown any haste to implement the Supreme Court order, allowing entry for all women in Sabarimala. "The government will not give a reveiw petition in the Sabarimala case; it had welcomed the order in the affidavit submitted to the court.
Meanwhile, Pandalam Royal family, Nair Service Society (NSS), National Ayyappa Bhaktha Women collective and NGO Chethana filed a review petition against the Supreme Court order on Monday.
In the petition submitted by NSS, it is said that there was serious flaws in the verdict related to women’s entry. “Through the order, people are denied the right to follow their belief and tradition. Lord Ayyappa is Naishtika brahmachari and evidence for this is there in puranas.”
