THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government had cancelled approval given to new distilleries and breweries on Monday. The opposition had alleged a scam behind the approval given to the breweries and distilleries. Chief Minister cancelled the approval following this controversy. Advocate Jayashankar has come forward mocking this decision taken by the Chief Minister.
“Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan never takes a step back and he is not hesitant to show his anger towards those who oppose him. Everyone expected this in the brewery issue as well. The government had convinced people that involvement of the Karnataka-Tamil Nadu lobby in the liquor production can be reduced only by giving approval to new breweries and distilleries. Anyway, this withdrawal is temporary from the government’s part and Pinarayi Vijayan will come back strong after rebuilding Kerala and the Parliament election”, mocks advocate Jayashankar.
