THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Devaswom minister Kadakampally Surendran alleged that the women wing of RSS is behind the Supreme Court verdict allowing women of all ages to enter Sabarimala temple. He also said that the government implemented the Supreme Court verdict and no one can prevent women from entering Sabarimala.

“Several protests seeking women entry in Sabarimala was staged for the last 12 years by women leaders close to Amit Shah. It is not right to oppose the verdict now. BJP should demand the central government to bring a special law against this verdict if they oppose this”, Kadakampally said.

“The government respects the emotions of devotees. Resentment is common in such an issue. The government had only implemented the verdict. Opposing or badmouthing the government will not change the verdict. The approach taken by NSS by filing a review plea is right. Whenever, a social reformation has happened, such resentments have originated. The government is ready to discuss this issue with anyone. However, nobody should forget the constitutional responsibilities”, he said.
