NEW DELHI: Rekha Sharma, National Commission for Women chairperson criticised the participation of women in the protest against Supreme Court verdict over Sabarimala. She added that there is no need to make law to overrule the Supreme Court verdict.
“The commission will not allow any law that violates the freedom of women,” said Rekha Sharma.
“I can’t understand why these women are staging protest over Sabarimala. Only those who wish can visit the shrine. Nobody is forcing them that they should go to the temple. Those who are against the verdict and those who oppose the verdict have equal rights,” she said.
