THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Hindu Aikyavedi state president K P Sasikala said that women police offiers are not anyone’s slaves and the government should remember that they have their own faith. “The government cannot take a decision to deploy women police officers at Sabarimala. In Kerala, we don’t have a Communist regime in Kerala, we have a Communist government. There is difference between both of them”, said K P Sasikala.
“The decision in the Sabarimala issue should be taken by the society. The government should consider the matter only if the society demands to do so. Now, we are discussing the matter of allowing women between the ages of 10 and 50 to Sabarimala. They know to express their opinion in the matter. No one has said that they need to visit the temple. SFI or DYFI have not staged protests seeking Sabarimala women entry. The left women organizations have also not protested in this matter”, said Sasikala.
