KOCHI: Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) came forward publicly on Saturday against Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), since the actors association has not yet clarified actor Dileep’s status in the association. Dileep, alleged to be an accused in the actress assault case has very close ties with both AMMA and FEFKA members and he will be featured in the lead role in B Unnikrishnan’s next project titled ‘Neethi’. Meanwhile, actresses – Rima Kallingal, Geethu Mohandas, Ramya Nambeeshan and the victim have resigned from the association.
Meantime, director-producer Aashiq Abu has made an announcement that an ICC (Internal Complaint Committee) will be set up in every movies produced by OPM (Original Pixels in Motion) productions to tackle exploitations and attacks against women in the film industry.
