THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: 'Randamoozham', announced by director V A Shrikumar Menon featuring actor Mohanlal has caught itself in a controversy after writer M T Vasudevan Nair moved court against the makers of the film due to a delay in the project. V A Shrikumar menon met M T Vasudevan Nair at M T's house in Kozhikode. The director has apologized to M T for the delay. He also promised the writer that he will keep his promise. Earlier, Shrikumar Menon had sought an apology through Facebook. He had also said that the movie will happen.

"The movie is being delayed because of the post-prodection works of Odiyan. Some people tried to connect this with the actress assault case. Noone should believe such stories", Shrikumar Menon informed M T. Shrikumar Menon also said that he is not interested in a legal battle. However, sourcers close to M T said that he has not reached an agreement with the director. The writer is admant that his script should be returned. The movie is produced by B R Shetty. Shetty had said that the movie will happen, even if M T's script is not available.

Kozhikode additional munsif court had stayed the pre-production works of 'Randamoozham' till further notice. M T Vasudevan Nair had filed a petition seeking that the script should be returned following the delay in the project.

"The script is a product of my hardwork for many years. However, the director or other people behind the movie have not shown any interest or sincereity to the movie. I signed the contract with Shrikumar Menon four years ago. I wrote the script in Malayalam and English. The contract was to complete the movie within three years. However, Shrikumar Menon has not even started the shooting yet", said MT.
