THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Many passengers have been affected by the lightning strike called by KSRTC in various depots across the state. The trade unions have called for a strike after Kudumbashree was made in charge of the ticket reservation facility.

The strike is ongoing in several districts including in Kottayam. However, it was dropped in Thiruvananthapuram depot.

A minor clash occurred in Thiruvananthapuram during the strike. KSRTC employees were staging protest in front of the ticket counters to prevent Kudumbashree staff from entering the counters. The clash occurred when the police tried to move the protesters by arresting them.
