PATHANAMTHITTA: The agitation of the people at Sabarimala who are protesting against the entry of women seems to be spinning out of control.

The protest from locals and devotees who are sticking to grand old tradition is prominent in Pathanamthitta, Pamba and Nilakkal. The protestors’ strong decision is not to allow any woman who breakd tradition, to enter Pamba. People including a large number of women have built a strong chain of protest around the police force in these places.

Meanwhile, certain protestors threatened to burn young women including the buses in which they board to go to Sabarimala.

A young woman called Lipi who tried to enter Sabarimala was blocked by protestors at Pamba. But the woman dressed in jeans and black kurta sounded adamant when she said that she had come all the way alone after observing penance, though not of 41 days’, and she would enter Sannidhanam in accordance with the court order.

The police later whisked her away in their jeep and took her to the nearby police station. They are now finds ways to take her to Sannidhanam under tight security.
