yuva-morcha-arrest

NILAKKAL: Police have arrested and removed in police van Yuva Morcha activists who were protesting at Nilakkal in violation of the Prohibitory orders in the area.

It was five people led by Yuva Morcha State president Prakash Babu who agitated at Nilakkal on Thursday morning. Since the protestors were dressed up as Ayyappa devotees, the police could not identify them at first. They came to be noticed only when they started shouting slogans, sitting alongside the pathway.

Earlier, BJP State president P S Sreedharan told media persons that 41 workers, representing 41 days of vratham, would breach the Prohibitory orders declared yesterday (Wednesday).

“Our workers are there in Pamba and Sannidhanam and the order will be breached today and tomorrow. They will be protesting, chanting saranam,” he had said.

As more policemen started gathering in these areas and as the number of protestors were less, the situation was well under control.
