Sabarimala protestors milled around a woman devotee at the Nadapanthal on Saturday morning around 11 after she was suspected to be of the age that is traditionally barred in Sabarimala. The developement created tension in Sabarimala for some time.

Later, the woman, clad in dark blue salwar and bearing irumudi on head, was found to be a devotee from Tamil Nadu named Latha Kumari, aged 52. As the protestors started shouting Sharanam and crowding around her, the police rushed to her help. They verified her Aaddhar card to confirm her age and this was conveyed to the protestors. She was allowed her to go after that.

The woman looked embarrassed after the darshan for unexpected problems she had to face. She had gone for darshan with her husband and son. She said it was second pilgrimage to Sabarimala.
