CHATHANNUR: It has been alleged that the house of Manju Pambayil, who reached Pampa for visiting Sabarimala temple has been attacked by BJP activists. The attackers trespassed to her house and threw house equipment outside. They also pelted stones at her house.

Meantime, Kollam DCC president Bindhu Krishna said that Manju has no connections with the Congress. Rumours have been flying around social media that Manju is an active member of Congress. However, Bindhu Krishna said that Manju does not even have a party membership. The police denied permission for Manju to enter the temple since several criminal cases have been filed against her. She went back to her house at Chathannur under police protection.

Manju has responded to a private news channel that she will return to Sabarimala on Sunday. "The police denied her permission because of rain and crowd. I have returned from Pampa since there is no necessary facilities to spend a night there", said Manju.
