KOCHI: BSNL has taken action against Rehna Fathima who went to Sabarimala following the supreme court verdict allowing women of all ages to enter the temple. She was transferred to Ravipuram in Kochi. She was currently working as telephone mechanic in Kochi boat jetty branch.

Rehna was transferred to a department branch where she do not have to meet people directly. BSNL has also started investigation on Rehna's trek to Sabarimala. BSNL has also requested cyber cell to conduct an investigation about Rehna's Facebook posts.

The police has taken a case against Rehna Fathima for hurting religious statements on the basis of the complaint filed by a Thrukkodithanam native.Rehna had trekked to Sabarimala temple with Kavitha Jakkal, a Hyderabad based journalist. A police team led by IG Sreejith had ensured tight security. However, she could not enter the temple as she was blocked by several protesters at Nadappanthal of the temple. Her house in Ernakulam was also attacked following this.
