KOZHIKODE: K Muraleedharan MLA has said that the Congress will take legal action against IG Sreejith, who “handed over the police uniform and helmet to a few women who expressed their wish to climb the hillock for Ayyappa darshan”.

He also alleged that the Sreejith had misused the police uniform. “Now there is no point in crying in front of the temple.”

The other day the IG had allegedly given the police helmet and jacket to Kochi native Rahna Fathima and media person Kavitha. But Sreejith explained that he had not given the uniform and he only have the helmet security jacket to the women.

“We gave security to women only as part of implementing the Supreme Court order. Whoever, comes here for darshan will be provided security, irrespective of their identity” he had said.
