KOCHI: Sabarimala Special Commissioner has informed Kerala high court that the situation in Sabarimala and surrounding areas is very serious. There are reports that some people have stayed put at Sannidhanam to block people trying to enter Sabarimala in violation of the Supreme Court order.

In the Mandalam season also, there will be a strong presence of protestors. Moreover, there will be chances for clashes at Erumeli, Nilakkal, Pamba and Sabarimala. In connection with the recent incidents in Sabarimala, 16 criminal cases were registered in police stations concerned,” the report said.
