THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rahul Easwar, a member of the Sabarimala tantri-family who has been staging protests at Sabarimala against the Supreme Court verdict allowing women of all ages to enter the temple, said that Pinarayi Vijayan lost to lord Ayyappa. He also said that the chief minister should change his stand on the issue. Rahul was addressing the reporters after he got out from jail on bail.

“Pinarayi Government is just a government of atheists and non-believers. I am happy that devotees did not trespass to the temple. The case against me is fabricated. I was at Sannidhanam, not at Pampa during the time. The police arrested my grandmother and assister someone like Rehna Fathima to go to the temple, and this is not right”, clarified Rahul.

“We will conduct prayer meet on November 5 when the temple gets opened again. We will move forward by staging protests in a Gandhian manner. There is no politics in this issue. The central government should think about issuing an ordinance”, he added.
