THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Malayaraya Mahasabha has decided to approach the Supreme Court seeking ownership of Sabarimala temple. Aikya Malayaraya Mahasabha general secretary P K Sajeev clarified that lord Ayyappa was a Malayaraya and Sabarimala is Ayyappa's place of death. He also said that the brahmins have hijacked their customs and rituals.Noone talks about Ayyappa's real parents, they only talk about Panthalam king who brought up Ayyappa, said Sajeev.

"Malayaraya Mahasabha does not see any problem in allowing women to enter Sabarimala. Sabari was a Malayaraya woman. None of the Malayaraya women visit the temple now, however we are not against it, we are living in a reformed society", clarified P K Sajeev. Sajeev had ealier clarified that the Thazhamon family took the ownership of the temple from the Malayarayas in 1902.
