NEW DELHI: Two Malayali women on Wednesday approached the Supreme Court with contempt of court petitions against blocking women in Sabarimala, despite the court order that women of all ages should be allowed entry in the temple.

Before filing the petition, they had sought the permission of Attorney General.

In the petition filed by a women advocate, they have also sought action against BJP State chief P S Sreedharan Pillai, BJP leaders Kollam Tulasi and Muralidharan Unnithan, who spoke and worked against Supreme Court order.

In a petition filed by another woman, she sought contempt of court proceedings against temple priest Kandararu Rajeevararu and P Rama Varma Raja.
