KOLLAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that men and women have equal rights for devotion. He also clarified that the government had not taken any special stand in Sabarimala issue. The chief minister was addressing public during evaluation meet in Kollam.
"Women had entered Sabarimala before and former BJP chief Kummanam Rajasekharan has witnessed this. Kummanam had sent a letter to the High Court mentioning about women entry to Sabarimala. The High Court considered the letter as public interest litigation. The letter sent by Kummanam to tantri and his reply were all presented before the court. Kummanam had mentioned about several women visiting the temple in the letters. RSS has a special agenda in the Sabarimala issue and they have been attempting to destroy the secularism of Kerala", said Pinarayi Vijayan.
