KOZHIKODE: Historian K N Ganesh has come forward responding to Rahul Easwar's statement that the idea of Sena agitators in Sabarimala was to shed blood at Sannidhanam if any woman of menstruating age entered the temple. "Not only mentsrual blood, but hair, nail and saliva are also impure as per Brahmin tantra. Tantri should perform special poojas as a solution to this, he should not close the temple", said K N Ganesh.
"Tantri has only rights to perform special poojas as solution, he does not have the right to close the temple. Devaswom board or the temple committee has the right to close the temple. Even tear is impure as per tantra, however the priest can perform punyaha or any other special poojas as a solution. He does not need to close the santum sanctorum", he said.
