NEW DELHI: The state government has filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the High Court’s stay order on the Salary Challenge. The Chief Minister had demanded employees to donate their one-month salaries to the Chief Minister’s disaster relief fund as part of the salary challenge.

The Chief Justice accepted the government’s request to consider the petition urgently and the court said that the petition will be considered on October 29.

The High Court had stayed the demand for no-consent letter in the Salary Challenge in an earlier verdict.

The stay is valid till Kerala Administrative Tribunal pronounces final verdict on the issue. The appeal was filed by the state government against this stay order. The finance department had sought legal advice of the AG in this regard.
