THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In connection with the recent clashes in Sabarimala, the police have arrested 1407 persons. 258 cases were registered. Most of the arrested persons are natives of Kottayam, Ernakulam, Palakkad and Pathanamthitta districts. From Pathanamthitta, there are people from Pandalam, Thiruvalla, Chittar and Angamuzhi.

Police said that more people from Pamba and Nilakkal will be arrested today (Thursday).

In Thiruvananthapuram range 236 have been arrested till now. Most of the arrested have been granted bail. Those who indulged in serious crimes during the agitation have been accused of non-bailable offence and remanded in judicial custody.

Police said the list of the arrested will be released soon. The police had issued a look-out notice which included the photos of 210 persons and out of them 160 persons have been identified. Most of them have been arrested.
