THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress leader and former devaswom president G Raman Nair will is set to join BJP. It has been reported that he will annouce the decision soon as he has held discussions with several senior BJP leaders. He is currently facing a desciplinary action from Congress after inaugurating the protest meet of BJP against Sabarimala women entry. It has been deduced that the announcement will be made when Amit Shah visits Kerala.

Raman Nair responded to a private channel that he does not expect a supportive stand from the Congress. "I participated in the event as a former devaswom board president. I want to continue my public works. If Congress does not give an opportunity for this, I have no other option than joining BJP. I have met some BJP leaders. If Congress does not take a supportive stand, I may join BJP soon", clarified Raman Nair.
