THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP Thiruvananthapuram district president S Suresh alleged that there is a left-conspiracy behind the attack on swami Sandeepananda Giri's ashram. "The protest of devotees following the Supreme Court verdict allowing women of all ages to enter Sabarimala has strengthened. The high court has criticized the government for arresting innocent people. The government is trying to divert the the issue. Both CPM and Swami Sandeepananda Giri are behind this conspiracy", alleged Suresh.
Meantime, devaswom minister Kadakampally Surendran alleged that the attack on Sandeepananda Giri is a murder attempt. "They were trying to murder Swami when he comes outside on seeing the fire. BJP chief Sreedharan Pillai is responsible for this attack. However, we will arrest the attackers immediately. Strict action will be taken against them. The secural Keralites are together with Swami", said Kadakampally.
Congress leader V M Sudheeran has also condemned the attack. Nobody should be attacked because of their ideas. Government should take strict action against such people, he said.
