THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president P S Sredharan Pillai has said that National president Amit Shah’s statement during his recent speech was misconstrued.
“What he said was that the people themselves will pull down the LDF government and there will be no need for the Centre to pull it down… some media groups were misinterpreting his statement…” he clarified at a press conference here Sunday.
Pillai criticised the arrest of Rahul Eswar and other BJP men, saying that they were being arrested like murder convicts and falsely implicated. “What is happening in Kerala is undeclared war. The BJP will face this with non-violent strike.”
Pillai said that the BJP had no role in the attack of Swami Sandeepananda Giri while CPM continued to slander BJP workers. The BJP State chief announced that in protest against “false arrests” of BJP men, he would fast in front of police headquarters on October 30. A rath yatra will also held from Kasargod to Pathanamthitta. It will start on November 8 and end on 18th of the same month.
