Swami Sandeepanandagiri, who is facing wrath and ridicule for supporting women’s entry in Sabarimala has come out with a post in which he explains Shibu (the nick name he is called by his foes) means Shiva, Lord Ayyappa’s father.
He sort of demonstrates to prove a point using a post, which appears to be written by music director Bijibal since the words ‘Bijibal, music director can be seen at the end of the ‘explanatory’ passage.
FB post (translation):
Shibu: A thought
“Among we Malayalis, the names of certain people are Bijoy, Shibu etc. Actually these are the names from places like Bengal and Assam. They pronounce ‘Va’ as ‘Ba’, ‘Aa’ as ‘Ou’ and Sha as Shha. The word Vijay is Bijoy there. Actually Jyothi Boshu is Jyothi Vasu. And the word Shibu means Siva, nothing else.
Sandeepanandagiri, who was Tulsasidas in Poorvashrama, is now called Shibu by his opponents. But Shibu is Siva, Lord Ayyappa’s father…
Oh! Shastha’s Maya
