THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Finance Minister Dr. T M Thomas Isaac said that the government will collect salary only from those who have signed the consent letter. He also told the media that the Supreme Court verdict that quashed the appeal against the HC verdict on salary challenge was a blow to the state government.

“A majority of the employees have signed the consent letter. We will ensure that the collected money will be used for disaster relief. Salary Challenge order will be changed on the basis of the court verdict. There is petition regarding the salary challenge in the administrative tribunal. We are waiting for the verdict”, said the minister.

He also said that Rs 458 cr was spent for disaster relief till now.
