THRISSUR: A woman and her lover were arrested for allegedly giving a contract to the tune of Rs 4 lakh to kill her husband. The arrested persons are Thirur native Sujatha and his lover Suresh Babu. The arrest was carried out on Monday by Viyyoor police. Four persons who took the ‘quotation’ from them were also arrested.

Police said that accused would soon be produced in the court.

Last Monday, an attempt was made to kill Thrissur native Krishna Kumar in a car accident. He had a miraculous escape from it. Smelling trouble, Krishna Kumar approached the police station with a complaint.

In the investigation conducted by the police, it was found that Sujatha and Suresh Babu, a private bus employee, had been in an intimate relationship for quite some time. Their plan was to eliminate Krishna Kumar who could come in the way of their relationship.
