THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Indian Cricket captain Virat Kohli has said he was very much excited to be in God’s Own Country. “Kerala’s natural beauty and hospitality is great. I love to come to Kerala. The energy I get from here is very important. This place is very safe. I invite all people here to experience its beauty. My special thanks to Kerala for making me happy,” Kohli wrote on the visitor’s book in Kovalam Raviz Hotels and Resorts.

The Indian team reached Thiruvananthapuram airport in a special flight around noon on Tuesday. The players were accorded a warm welcome at the hotel. Youths who had crowed in the airport received the players with cheers and slogans.

The team had reached here in Chattered flight after a delay of one hour from Mumbai, where they had played the fourth One Day International the other day. The team which is staying in Kovalam Raviz hotel will come out on the Green field stadium for practice on Wednesday.

The fifth one-dayer will be played on November 1, the Kerala formation day.
