THRISSUR: BJP has decided to stage a protest in the district as the officials have not yet taken any action against the Jeevan Lal, a DYFI leader who is involved in a sexual abuse case lodged by a DYFI woman activist. Jeevan Lal was charged with sexual abuse case two months ago and he is still not arrested. BJP alleges CPM's involvement in the case.
However, CPM clarified that the party has taken action against Jeevan Lal and no one from the party has involved in the police investigation. The woman activist had held a press meet on the previous day, since no action was taken for two months. BJP is staging the protest in this situation. They will march towards the MLA office on Friday.
The woman had alleged that Jeevan Lal abused her in MLA K U Arunan's room in Thiruvananthapuram. A complaint was lodged to the DySP on September 4.
