KOTTAYAM: The police have charged a case against an anganwadi helper for cleaning the private parts of a child with toilet brush. The west police took the action against a native of Chanthakkadav, who is working as a helper in the 126th anganwadi in Pathinaril Chira, Veloor. She was taken into custody as per juvenile justice act and the police presented her in the court on Wednesday.

The complaint filed by parents state that the woman cleaned private parts of the child using toliet brush as she was angry that the child shat in classroom. The child was injured and private parts were infected. The woman helper was taken into custody by the police. Meantime, it has been alleged that the complaint is fake in order to expel her as part of a caste issue.
