KANNUR: A youth was arrested on Friday for allegedly making a threat call to the chief minister. The arrested person is Cheruthazham Mandoor native Vijesh (35) and the police have identified him as an RSS worker.

According to the police, Vijesh frequently called CPM district committee office and threatened to kill the chief minister. Town SI Sreejith Kodiyeri and his team nabbed Vijesh with the help of cyber cell. CPOs Rayeez and Sajesh was also in the team.

Vijesh was picked up from Kozhikode Kolathur Ashram on Thursday night. The accused was produced in court later in the day.
