CHENGANNUR: It has been hinted that several CPM-DYFI activists will reach Sabarimala from Kannur with the double-headed baggage (Irumudikkettu) as Sangh Parivar has decided to stage protests if any woman enter Sabarimala. Rumours state that about 1800 people from Kannur will reach there. It has also been informed that the tourists have booked 20 buses from Kannur, Thalasseri and Vadakara. However the police have not officially confirmed this.
Meantime, officials state that the devaswom board has directed to arrange necessary facilities for the devotees coming from Kannur. If any woman reach to visit the temple, these CPM activists will also enter the temple with them under police protection. The police suspect that a clash may occur due to this. Therefore, security has been beefed up at Sabarimala as the temple gets opened for Chithira Aatta Visesham.
5000 RSS cadets will also reach Sabarimala from the state and other neighbouring states. RSS leader Valsan Thillankari will lead them.
The media is not allowed to talk to the tantri and the police have also placed a mobile jammer at Sannidhanam.
