KOCHI: Actress Parvathy Thiruvothu has come forward declaring her support to the Sabarimala verdict. She said that menstruation is not impure and that she finds no fault in going to temples during the time of menstruation. Parvathy told this during an interview with a national media.
"We cannot discriminate women in the name of menstruation. I have always found it to be an injustice. Those who say that menstruation is impure are flagbearers of patriarchy. People may crucify me for making this remark, but if I feel like going to a temple during my periods, I will go for sure", said Parvathy.
Parvathy also brought several injustices of Malayalam film industry into light. "People isolate those people who ask questions. We are raising questions, not to challenge anyone, but to get answers", she clarified.
