NEYYATTINKARA: Now, this is what the locals of Kodangavila have to say about the tussle between DySP Harikumar and Kodangavila native Sanal Kumar, leading to the death of the later.

“DySP had gone to Kodavilangadu native and jewellery owner Binu’s house on Monday night. He had parked his car near Binu’s house. When he came out he saw another car parked in front of his car. That car belonged to Sanal, who was there at that time to take food from a wayside eatery

At around 10 pm, the DySP came out of Binu’s house and asked Sanal to move forward his car to make way for his car. As Sanal got inside the car, Harikumar went charging towards him and slapped him. In the tussle that ensued, the DySP pulled him out of the car, twisted his hands, kicked him and pushed him onto the road.

A speeding car that came that way banged him down. A police Emergency jeep soon reached the spot. SI Santhosh Kumar was also inside the jeep. Sanal was first taken to Neyyattinkara police station and from there to Medical College.”
