KOLLAM: Though the government had big plans about providing security for all women going to Sabarimala, it was not completely executed due to some judicial decision of the top police officers. A leaked speech of a middle order police officer brings to light this fact.

The crux of the conversation was that whatever the government decided, it would not be advisable for the police to act tough against the devotees and protestors.

“If there is any police action at Sannidhanam, violence will break out in different parts of the State. The initial stage of the protests will evolve as a strong sentiment against the government and the public property will be widely destroyed.

In the next phase, it will snowball into clashes between Sangh Parivar and CPM” - The police officer is said to have said this in the police forum held on the eve of Chithira Atta day.
