neyyatinkara-murder-case

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The report submitted by the special branch has mentioned that serious lapses have occurred on the side of the police in the case where a youth was thrown onto the road by a DySP over a row in parking dispute. Sanal, who was seriously injured was lying in the road for almost half an hour and was later shifted to the Neyyatinkara taluk hospital. On way to medical college hospital, the ambulance first reached the police station. The primary report produced by the special branch has stated that the ambulance reached the station to pick another cop as the duty of the one in the ambulance ended. It was the accused DySP who informed Neyyatinkara Police Station about the incident. When Neyyatinkara SI and guard reached the spot, injured Sanal was lying on the road. He requested them to shift him to the hospital. When taken to taluk hospital, they directed to take him to medical college hospital. Instead of rushing him to the hospital, they first went to the station to pick a cop and in that way delayed the journey. In between the trip to the hospital, Sanal lost his life at Pappanamcode. The report stated that his life could have been saved if taken to hospital on time.
